April 30, 2016 - Stephen Maxwell of the London Lightning

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Stephen Maxwell of the London Lightning has been named Player of the Week for the week ending April 30, 2016. This is the second time this season that Maxwell has earned this honour.

Maxwell, a 6'7" forward who played collegiately at Cal State Northridge, averaged 22 points and 15 rebounds in two Lightning victories this week, helping London secure home court advantage throughout the Central Division playoffs.

April 24, 2016 - Anthony Anderson of the Saint John Mill Rats

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Anthony Anderson of the Saint John Mill Rats has been named Player of the Week for the week ending April 24, 2016. This is the second time this season that Anderson has earned this honour.

Anderson, a 5'11" guard who played collegiately at the University of Massachusetts, averaged 25 points in two Mill Rats victories this week, ensuring that Saint John would stay in the top half of the Atlantic Division as the season moved into the playoffs.

April 17, 2016 - Logan Stutz of the Niagara River Lions

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Logan Stutz of the Niagara River Lions has been named Player of the Week for the week ending April 17, 2016. This is the second time this season that Stutz has earned this honour.

Stutz, a 6'9" forward who played collegiately at Washburn, averaged 25 points in two River Lions wins this week. He was also the leading scorer in both victories.

April 10, 2016 - Dexter Strickland of the Moncton Miracles & Richard Amardi of the Orangeville A's

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Dexter Strickland of the Moncton Miracles & Richard Amardi of the Orangeville A's have earned Player of the Week honours for the week ending April 10, 2016.

Strickland, a 6'3" guard from North Carolina, scored a game-high 42 points in Moncton's 114-98 Sunday afternoon win over the London Lightning, and has averaged 26.3 ppg in Moncton's three games.

Amardi. a 6'9" forward who played collegiately at Oregon, averaged 23.0 points per game in two Orangeville wins over division rivals Niagara and Windsor.

April 3, 2016 - Justin Moss of the Orangeville A's

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Justin Moss of the Orangeville A's has been named Player of the Week for the week ending April 3, 2016. This is the first time this season that a player from the A's earned this honour.

Moss. a 6'8" forward who played collegiately at the University of Buffalo, averaged 31 points in Orangeville's two victories this week.

March 27, 2016 - Kirk Williams Jr. of the Windsor Express

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Kirk Williams Jr. of the Windsor Express has been named Player of the Week for the week ending March 27, 2016. Williams becomes the second player from Windsor to earn this honour.

Williams, a 6'7" forward who played collegiately at the University of Bridgeport, came off the bench to help spur the Express to two out of three wins this week. He averaged 21.3 points per game this week.

March 20, 2016 - Gabe Freeman of the Saint John Mill Rats

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Gabe Freeman of the Saint John Mill Rats has been named Player of the Week for the week ending March 20, 2016. Although this is Freeman's first Player of the Week honours this season, he has won the award three times during the 2011-12 season, when he was a member of the London Lightning.

Freeman, a 6'6" forward who played collegiately at Costa Mesa Community College, was instrumental in Saint John's three road victories this week, including scoring 36 points in a road win on St. Patrick's Day against the Island Storm, and 23 points in a triumph over the Orangeville A's on Saturday. Freeman currently leads the Mill Rats in scoring (20.9 ppg) and rebounds (8.9 rpg).

March 13, 2016 - Justin Johnson of the Halifax Hurricanes

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Justin Johnson of the Halifax Hurricanes has been named Player of the Week for the week ending March 13, 2016. This is Johnson's second Player of the Week honour this season.

Johnson, a 6'2" guard who played collegiately at Concordia (California), averaged 27 points in two Halifax victories, keeping the Hurricanes atop the NBL's Atlantic Division.

March 6, 2016 - James Justice of the Moncton Miracles

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that James Justice of the Moncton Miracles has been named Player of the Week for the week ending March 6, 2016.

Justice, a 5'10" guard who played collegiately at Martin Methodist (Tennessee), was instrumental in Moncton's three wins this week. He averaged 19 points per game, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in Moncton's undefeated week.

February 28, 2016 - Brian Addison of the Island Storm

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Brian Addison of the Island Storm has been named Player of the Week for the week ending February 28, 2016.

Addison, a 6'10" forward from the University of Buffalo, scored 26 points and 10 rebounds in a Storm victory over the Moncton Miracles on Sunday afternoon.

February 21, 2016 - Anthony Anderson of the Saint John Mill Rats

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Anthony Anderson of the Saint John Mill Rats has been named Player of the Week for the week ending February 21, 2016.

Anderson, a 6'1" guard who played collegiately at Massachusetts, set Mill Rats team records for points (51) and 3-pointers (9) in a 147-102 victory on Thursday night against the Orangeville A's.

February 14, 2016 - Kyle Hunt of the Halifax Hurricanes

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Kyle Hunt of the Halifax Hurricanes has been named Player of the Week for the week ending February 14, 2016.

Hunt, a 6'10" centre who played collegiately at the University Science and Arts in Oklahoma, averaged 20 points per game in two Halifax Hurricanes victories.

February 7, 2016 - Anthony Stover of the Saint John Mill Rats

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Anthony Stover of the Saint John Mill Rats has been named Player of the Week for the week ending February 7, 2016.

Stover, a 6'11" centre who played collegiately at UCLA, averaged 13 rebounds and six blocked shots in three games for the Mill Rats, including two victories.

January 31, 2016 - Nick Okorie of the London Lightning

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Nick Okorie of the London Lightning has been named Player of the Week for the week ending January 31, 2016.

Okorie, a 6'1" guard who played collegiately at Texas Tech, averaged 23 points in London's three wins this week, helping the Lightning to maintain a league-best nine-game winning streak.

January 24, 2016 - Mike Glover of the Halifax Hurricanes & Stephen Maxwell of the London Lightning

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Mike Glover of the Halifax Hurricanes & Stephen Maxwell of the London Lightning has been named Player of the Week for the week ending January 24, 2016.

Glover, a 6'7" forward who played collegiately at Iona, averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Halifax Hurricanes in the team's two wins this week. Glover currently leads the Hurricanes in points per game (19.92) and rebounds per game (7.42).

Maxwell, a 6'7" foward who played collegiately at Cal-State Northridge, averaged 18 rebounds and 15.7 points per game in the London Lightning's three wins this week. Maxwell currently leads the NBL in rebounding with 13.91 boards per game.

January 17, 2016 - Tyshawn Patterson of the London Lightning

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Tyshawn Patterson of the London Lightning has been named Player of the Week for the week ending January 17, 2016.

Patterson, a 6'1" guard who played collegiately at Stetson, helped the Lightning in two big wins this week, averaging 22.5 points per game in those contests.

January 10, 2016 - Brandon Robinson of Windsor Express

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Brandon Robinson of the Windsor Express has been named Player of the Week for the week ending January 10, 2016.

Robinson, a 6'6" forward who played for Clayton State, averaged 20.5 points and 11.5 rebounds for Windsor, helping keep the Express near the top of the NBL Canada's Central Division.

January 3, 2016 - Justin Johnson of the Halifax Hurricanes

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Justin Johnson of the Halifax Hurricanes has been named Player of the Week for the week ending January 3, 2016. This is the first time this season that a Hurricanes player has received this honour.

Johnson, a 6'2", 175 guard who played collegietely at Concordia (Calif.), averaged 22 points per game in four consecutive Halifax victories to put the Hurricanes atop the NBL's Atlantic Division. Johnson also went 11-for-17 from three point range in those four games, including hitting four consecutive treys in a 124-121 overtime win against Moncton.

December 27, 2015 - Logan Stutz of the Niagara River Lions & Doug Herring Jr. of the Saint John Mill Rats

The National Basketball League of Canada is pleased to announce that Logan Stutz of the Niagara River Lions, and Doug Herring Jr. of the Saint John Mill Rats, have been named Co-Players of the Week for the week ending December 27, 2015. This is the first time that the league has designated "Co-Players" of the week.

Logan Stutz, a 6'9" forward who played collegiately at Washburn, averaged 23.5 points and 12 rebounds in two Niagara River Lions games this weekend, including the team's first-ever win, a 106-104 Sunday night home victory over the London Lightning.

Doug Herring Jr., a 6'7" guard who played collegiately at Utica (N.Y.), put together 21.5 points per game in two Saint John Mill Rats victories. Herring also averaged 6 assists in both contests.
